Actually you can buy an OBDII engine and simply remove one of the O2 sensors and voila its an OBDI engine. MIne has been converted to OBDI and works great so don't sweat the OBDI/OBDII issue when purchasing the engine but you do want to keep the car OBDI since its easier to pass smog after the mods with OBDI.
