Ok, I pulled the plug wires to take a look at the plugs and found oil. I then checked the oil and it smelled like gas. So, it looks like I've got bad piston rings or bad valve seals. I was hoping this was something relatively minor but I guess not.

So, now for a stupid question... How do I get the plugs out? They're very far down and a socket with an extension didn't seem to do the trick. Do I have to take the valve cover off in order to get to the plugs or is there some sort of special tool? If I do just need a socket and an extension, what size socket is it as mine doesn't seem to work.
