For removal of the bumper, I highley suggest Cryogen97's How to (link is in his sig to his site). I took my bumper off twice in the summer for the DIY JDM headlights. I also had a gap between the bumper, grill, and headlights. The 2nd time I took off the bumper, I pushed the metal part of the bumper (the actual bumper) up, and had someone hold it up while I screwed it on. Made a big difference. As for aiming the headlights, there are 3 screws on the back of the headlights (each set of 3 screws is for one bulb). Also, I noticed that you cad adjust the light bracket a bit (moving it back and forward). So try that.
