The V2 kinda reminds me of the Iceman CAI (I have one). The Iceman uses an "air horn" tube which gradually decreases in diameter to "funnel" air into the TB. It looks like AEM is trying to do something similar.
thats the idea behind it. if youve ever gotten to look inside of an intake manifold you will see that each individual runner into the engine is of a different diameter and lenth horn. they do this so that the turbulance inside of the manifold creats an even amount of air going into each cyclinder. otherwise one cylynder would be doing the majority of the work while the one opposite it will do relatively nothing.
