My fear with Iraq is the fact that they have chemical and biological weapons and are trying to acquire nuclear weapons. Saddam would jump at the chance for one of those weapons to be used against the US or Israel...either by Iraq itself or someone delivering it instead. In either case the only response would be a nuclear attack by either Israel or the US...something I do not want but would support if the situation arised. The only way to prevent this...and the death of more US civilians is to disarm Iraq. President Bush is going about this in the right manner...better to get to Saddam before he gets to us.

As for North Korea I firmly think that they are just trying to get more consessions from the US. However, unlike the Clinton administration, the Bush administration is not going to bow to their threats. At the very best North Korea currently has a couple of nuclear bombs with no real way to deliver them. The minute that they put one on a plane the US or South Korea could easily intercept it. True the Taepodong missle can hit Hawaii or Alaska but only with a conventional warhead...not a nuclear one. The DPRK has no meathod of feeding its own people and also fears that the US will attack. This is why they want a no aggression pact with the US. Their rhetoric of late is an attempt to get more concessions from the US. Even North Koreas biggest alies...China and Russia (kinda) do not agree with what they are doing. And I firmly believe that if it came down to it neither would support North Korea...both would have too much to loose as a result of supporting them.
