There is absoloutely no possible way that you're gonna be able to rev upto 5000 rpm in Drive while brake is depressed. When i used to own an auto, the most i ever got upto in all the cars were like 2000 to 2500 rpm while brake torquing. For launch results on an auto, the best way is to brake torque. Hold the brake all the way down in Drive, press gas all the way down, when rpm goes up max (~2500), let go of brake very fast. Car should peel out a bit and launch.
What i said above is just how it is done, but with an automatic tranny, u shouldnt do too many of those or even race. The autos arent built to take that kinda stress, and they will harm ur transmission so just use the auto for gettin to places and cruisin out.
