Not if you have a lower bitrate MP3 already. MP3 is compression and will cut out so much, depending on the quality of the file. If you have the original audio CD or even a .WAV file of the track, yes. If you're working with MP3 already, you can only get worse, unfortunately, the damage's been done.
Exactly, when I was first getting into MP3's I asked the same question... someone gave me the example of a block of wood. If you cut it... it's cut. There's no going back to original. Yea you can glue it or nail it, but is it really the same? It's easy to tell the diffrence.
