here let me both summarize and contirbute what I know.

I have read the entire thread. I own an ebay kit in my stock housings. they are better than stock which I think was poysonivee's point. but they do not in anyway copmpare to OEM kits which is illusion correct point.

All HID kits that weren't made by the factory are illegal, some are just less illegal. All lighting needs to be DOT approved. The HID's in a reflector housing are obviously worse than what see-fu/illusion's ideal method and more likely to be noticed and more annoying. However, what illusion/see-fu propose is illegal for the simple fact that the product was not intended for use on such cars in the US by the DOT and they aren't likely to be ticketed and will get better lighting.

As repeated above, YOU DON'T NEED SELF LEVELING IN AMERICA FOR HIDS. Acura's, Lincoln's, nissans, the chrysler's are all examples. On the autobahn they must be self leveling.

Illusion stated facts......there was little opinion. Facts are harsh sometimes. get used to it...and learn that there is always someone that will know more than you. A wise man listens to instruction.

Poysonivee, welcome to the accord club. Installing HID's is really easy. About as hard as changing a lightbulb. Too bad you din't DIY, but atleast you din't pay for it either. On of the joys of modding a car is being able to do stuff yourself. So don't be afraid. Just get good directions, the right tools and some help and try. But know when to stop when you find that you really are in over your head.
