in illusion's defense, he's just trying to provide information (and very damn good and accurate information at that) to everybody that a direct retrofit HID kit into a stock halogen refractor is illegal and will mess up your beam pattern. perfection is his thing and he might have been rude in presenting it, but in the attitude that poysonivee was presenting her catz kit as it was the best thing in the world, i think illusion has reason to be irritated because he knows that a real HID system can't use stock halogen refractors.

furthermore, everybody should give poysonivee the credit she deserves for actually being one of the first (or the first) to have HIDs on a 7th gen accord. it looks damn good, it is a VERY nice kit, and most importantly of all that she's happy with it, even if it does have a bit of refracting light off on the side.

personally, i will never bother with projectors or all that other expensive modifications and i'll just plug in a ballast and HID set into my stock refractors. bag on me all you want for that, but it's better than what i'm doing right now because i get high-beamed ALL THE TIME (like every 1 of 3 trips i take my car out at night). I might as well drive with a floodlight strapped to my car. i put so much lighting on my car because i have to see every bump in the road. if you understood the bad luck i go through with potholes, trash, and roadkill on the freeway, you would like to light up the night as if it were day too.

for the newbies seeking information on this board, read more and talk less. though we don't have as indepth technical talk as AV6.com, we still have a good number of members with information you want and need.
