I just advanced my D16Y8 last week. It only took 10 minutes. Make surer you have 2 ppl, a timing light, and a paper clip to jump the connector that is in the green boot next to your ECU. I noticed a slight difference, and my gas milage is way better. I used to top out my speed at 106 now it is 111. It wont hurt unless you start hearing a PING!. That means you have detonation so then you have to retard the distributor slightly. Listen mostly for the ping when you test drive it around 1st and 2nd gear. Happy Tuning!

when i had my timing at 22 degrees on my z6 when warming up its was at 27 degrees. how come it doesnt ping??
