First, I payed only 40 dollars for the tps sensor. Guaranteed to my door functional or free replacement. A guy sells them as a business, but does it off of ebay.

Second, I found that out yesterday after doing a little bit of research. You cannot just set it on the TB and just go. You have to align it up so that it is in sync with things. Well, the status on my car now is it will run, only it runs really rough. The rpms go all the way up, but there seems to be a substantional amount of performance loss. Im thinking we have the map sensor and tps sensor wires backwards. (the car harness plugs). They both come off the same harness extension, only one is a little bit longer than the other. I thought the longer one went to the tps, but we ended up hooking it the other way. Longer harness to the map and shorter to the tps. It runs now, but the motor shakes because of its rough idle. It doesn't lobe back and forth, just sounds and feels rough. Just to refresh your memory, the motor idled very smoothly when we first installed the tps without aligning it. Now, supposedly its aligned and it is very rough. But, before, it wouldn't go over 2k rpms. Is it supposed to have a rougher idle when aligned and correct or do you think I have the wires backwards? We tried switching them out really fast, and the car wouldn't crank over. But, it did this to the setup we had now, we just had to adjust the distributer and so forth. What do you think?
