Also....evertime i floor from 0...it redlines on 1,2, and 3 if i remember correctly. Driving in d3 is basically stupid, when your tranny should be shifting into 4th, it cant, and its spinning your engine an unnecessary number of rpms(i know u didnt ask about driving in d3, just adding that).

Depends on the accord, mine is a 2k1 v6 and with the pedal buried if I have it in d4 it will shift way too early and put 4th at about 3500-3600rpms, which is NOT in vtec land which bogs the car down and makes it pretty pathetic(more so than normal), it takes forever and a day for it to reach the magic 3800 and get my ass moving again. If I hold it in d3 until right before it's getting ready to bounce off the rev limiter, then knock it to d4 it shifts to about 3900 or so and I keep on going. I played with one of my friends and his celica GTS, he's a very consistant driver and with the car in d4 right before shifting he's about a car and half behind me fading back, with the premature shift all of a sudden he blows by me like I'm standing still, and by the time I get to 120 he's 5+ cars ahead. If I hold it in D3 right until it's ready to nail the rev limiter, then kick it to d4, he still catches me, but not until about 130, and he slowly passes me. we tried it a few times and a few different ways from 55(which is a sweet spot for 2nd in my car and a good reason I pull away from him) and it was very repeatable, d4 I got my ass handed to me at about 110-115, d3 then a kick to d4 he caught me at 130, then slowly crept by.
