Well, you have the manual. Turn to the index. Look up distributor. View illustration. Do you see a distributor?? Do you see a rotor? Ignitor?? Now, go to car, open car door....pull hood latch, get out of car, close door, open hood. Now the hood won't open unless you pull on the little latch thingy. That'll be in the manual too if you don't know what I'm referring too. Also, make sure you put the little arm thingy up, or you'll bonk your head. Now, do you see 4 rubber looking wires running from the top of your engine to a box-looking thing?????? Now my friend, that is your distributor. Can I let go of your hand now?

Undo the wires, REMEMBERING which nub each one goes on...firing order is very important. Now, there are three screws/bolts holding your dizzy cap on. Undo these, but don't drop, cause it's a biatch looking for tiny screws, and I don't have time to help you locate them...Plus they aren't in the manual! So, you take off the cap. There is a rotor, kind of looks like a propellor in there. It's held on by a screw. Alot of times this screw pops out. Get some locktite, place on screw, and then screw back in.

But if you want to check your ignitor, don't screw in yet. there will be a little box looking thing on the back of the dizzy, this is called your ignitor. It is held in by a couple screws, and it's also connected by a wire or two by even smaller screws. Again, don't lose those screws!!!!! By a new one of those....sounds like an ignitor. (if it still stalls on you just take the ignitor back to autozone and say it doens't work and get your money back. for it doesn't get dirty after usage and they won't know the difference).

Reassemble distributor cap and try to drive aroudn the block and see if it dies when you stop.

Any questions?
