should have spent the extra 5 bucks and got them zinc plated.

this is a pic of mine with about 1000 miles on them after spraing them with a hose, didn't even need to scrub.

If you're going to paint the rotor, just make sure you mask off the biting surface realll well(even if you screw up the pads will clean the rotor off for you, just the first few times you brake they may not be happy) then get some brake caliper paint, or other very high temp paint and paint away.
