You should just call a few insurance agents around you and have them run the numbers. Tell them you are shopping it around and want to know the best price you can get with varing coverages. Auto insurance is a competitive gig, and people shop it all the time. If they (the agents) are aren't nice to you, they know that you will never go back to them (in other words they get no business from you or your friends). By doing this, you can compare apples to apples instead of trying to compare what other people are paying to what you are anticipating paying (very difficult and usually not that accurate).
