I have a blue one of those that comes on with my alarm. The ultra-bright bit makes it stand out, which also makes it look kinda fake looking. Along with the fact that it blinks really fast, unlike any real alarm I've seen. If you don't mind some soldering, you could modify the circuit to make it look more like a real alarm LED.
