My friend has a 94 lx and he had the same situation. He got an RSX-S muffler and had it welded on. Looks good, and he says he likes it. I haven't heard it, but he says he likes it.
I'd say that's a good option for you.
Most aftermarket will be loud unless you get a generic "turbo" muffler at an exhaust shop and have a tip welded on.
