I have a first gen, so I'm sure there are differences, but I know I wouldn't want to sit in a seat back there. If you are going to make it at all safe, you'll have to have some sort of reinforcing plates below that cubby area for the seat bolts and the restraint bolts. In my case, I'd have to drop the tank in order to even think about drilling...I dunno, seems like a lot of work to me to give someone a really uncomfortable ride.
