I was at the local junkyard looking around and low and behold what do I see on the rack? A 1995 GSR motor and 5 speed tranny with 71,000 miles on it. So, after picking up a few things for some friends I go talk to the guy at the front desk and ask him how much they are asking for it. To my delight, he responds,"$2,000.00, I was asking $2,800.00 but no one bit so I just need to move it.". So, I gave him a check for $500.00 and told him I'd be back on the 6th to pay the balance. My wife was a little upset but I just could'nt pass that up. He showed me the car it came out of and it was a white GSR with pretty minimal damage to the rear. I wa surprised they even totalled it but he sai dthe frame was tweaked pretty bad. He's already sold the leather seats and most of the interior. I can't believe no one got the motor even at $2,800.00. Back when I bought My second B16A B18C1 changeovers were going for about $3,000.00-$3,500.00. I'm not even sure I'll use it as of now but I can easily sell it for $3,000.00 and make $1,000.00 off it. But, maybe I'll sell the CRX and find a decent 5th gen hatch to slap it in.
