Slacker, I don't think you really understand what blow-by is. And even if you do use a VTEC head you could eliminate VTEC if you wanted too. Several companies make valvetrain kits that eliminate VTEC. Using the VTEC head has benefits over a NON VTEC head even without using VTEC. How many of the big dog import racers do you know of that use a NON VTEC head. None. I have actually been doing some research on eliminating VTEC and all I have come up with is conflicting opinions on it so I will continue to inquire about it. And, you need to think about LSD when picking a tranny. I added the Phantom Grip LSD to my LS tranny and it works just as well as the OEM LSD in my stock B16A hydro tranny (which I still have).
