The type-r tranny isnt good for drag, its gearing is too short and you will end up shifting into 5th. My suggestion for boost is a gsr tranny with a lsd.
ive always been taught that close gear ratios improve 1/4 mile times. the quicker you can bang thru the gears, the quicker you get to the other end. if you want a vehicle with the highest top speed in an unlimited amount of space you would stretch the gears out.
