rodsiey goes snappy. sorry to hear man. Doesn't mean you can't fix it on your own (hopefully). Try to get insuranace to pay for it. Many insurance places pay for acts of God and stuff like that. My buddy got a new motor from insurance because he sucked some water up. You could also say something like: I've looked into it and it'd cost this much to rebuild the motor (insert rediciously big sum here), but I've also found that this engine (B16) will work just as good, and can be found redily for under $1000.
