Well, I just got back from a local body shop here and he's a Perfered member with State Farm (my insurance company). Basically he just does SF's repairs then sends the bills rather than get estimates and such. He told me it would probably cost $2600 and that it will most likely be written off. I'm going to see my agent here in about an hour and give him the estimate and see what he says. In a way I'm happy because I really wasn't looking forward to trying to rebuild the damn thing again but I'm also sad because that car was a lot of fun. I'm also a little worried about what the insurance company is going to allow me to remove before they take it. If I take everything I've added, the car will have to be dragged onto a flatbed without a suspension, wheels, steering, brakes or motor. Some of it I wouldn't care but they're not taking that motor without a fight. A lot of the parts I can't swap back to the stock stuff either (I don't have it or it's destroyed). I also can't get back some of the stuff, especially the huge amount of hours I have into everything.
I'm not sure what I'm going to do. I really don't want another EG. I may take the motor and ECU and shove those in my coupe with an OBD II - I adaptor. Sell off the brakes, suspension, steering setup and exhaust and maybe go shopping for a 240SX. Maybe I can find a home for my D16Y8 too and save some money (things been a rock). Oh well, it was fun while it lasted, time to move on to bigger and better things. Seeya.
