What would cause an alternator to charge at 36 volts? On my 99 Accord 4cly 5speed, the dash lights started to come on when car rev above 1500 rpm. Took alt to test it, putting out 36 volts. Bought rebuilt one and it whine when car is running. Disconnect main wire at alt it stops whining. It's like it puts out to many amps or something. Is there something in charging system that regulate the regulator? Has anyone else had this problem? Any help would be appreciated.
