I've got a question. Im redoing my teg's system with alpine SPR's (6.5" components in front, 6.5" coaxials in back) and a pioneer 6400 head unit. also, if I put in a single amped 10 or 12" sub, would that just blow away all the (un-amped) mid's and highs if I cranked it?
It might sound alright at low to mid volumes, but if you try to crank it, it'll get sh*tty, not enough power to run them.
If you throw a sub into the mix, you can play with the fader to even out the sound, but trying to crank it will result with my first statement happening. It might sound ok, but up to a certain point, probably not loud enough for your liking.
