Default I taught my hybrid how to wink

Damn it! Damn it, Damn it Damn it!!! A old friend of mine stopped by my house with a EK hatch and wanted information about doing swaps and stuff and wanted to go for a ride in the hatch. We went out and made a few trips to warm the engine and I gave it a little gas and had a little fun. We slowed down and were coming back on to my house when this old white Buick comes to the stop sign (only half the intersection has stop, the other way is clear) slows down and then pulls out right in front me. She then slams on her brakes stopping in the middle of the road and I had nowhere to go. I locked up mine and just hit the side of her. I hit her towards the rear of her car and it turned her around and slide into a telephone poll (just stopped against it). I just stopped dead where I was. Honestly wasn't that bad and I wasn't going more than 10 when I hit her, but still did some damage. I think everybody's okay. My friend and I had our seatbelts on (everybody should!) but she had a little girl with her that was complaining her mouth hurt. I hope she's alright. My cars banged up but not too bad. The engine and suspension seem fine. The hoods smashed as are the headlights, front bumper and passanger side fender. The inner fenders/rad support is a little buckled too on the passnager side. The Fluidyne seems okay and there are no puddles but I can't say for sure till I pull it out. I drove it back up to the house. Something rubbing the tires when I turn, but it's probably just the plastic covers.

According to the cop that showed up (the neighbors around called) said the lady was clearly at fault because of the stop sign. Hopefully her insurance will pay for everything. Hey, this gives me a good excuse to learn body work and if I'm lucky, I can save some of the money and maybe get a CF hood and lip out of it. Oh well. I'm not really that pissed about it. What happened happened, I can't change it. I'm just worried the insurance company might say that my hatch is too old and not worth fixing and total it. I guess I can yank the engine and put in the coupe or something but I don't know. I'll figure out something. Here's some more pics.

You can see the hoods banged up. I got the hood to release but I can't get it to re-latch. Everything in the engine bay seems alright. The AEM might be damaged and the overflow bottle got popped out.

You can see the hood and fender are tweaked. That headlight held together and still works (plastic mounts are cracked though). I acutally just realized I have no idea where the corner lamp went? That was my gas tank strap one. Ha ha.

A little closeup of the damange. Not real bad but will need to get pulled out. I'm hopefully going to put it on a frame machine and check for any other tweaks (it is 10 years old).

Hopefully I'll have her fixed up and looking good by Carlisle. Hell of a Christmas present I give myself. Seeya.
