After much frustration, including 2 different 1/2" impact wrench tries failed: used the "2 bolts & crossbar" method you suggested. Had few failures to get everything just right and then I got it. Pretty crude... had to use (2) 1/2" extensions and a jackstand/2X4 support for the breaker bar/extension joint and a 5 ft. 2" pipe extension, then it came. "Snap", I thought I broke something, but the bolt was loose and could be removed with fingers. Thanks for the help!!
