I remember when this was announced a while back people on the Saturn forums were not too happy either. Most of the arguments were to the effect that they didn't want "Jap crap" in their American built cars...what they didn't know and realize was that the engines were built in America...if anything this is good for GM but I do not see the trade off in getting diesel engines for the European market from GM/Isuzu. Sure Diesels are huge in Europe, but I would think Honda would just go and design the best diesel around. Maybe that is what they are doing...using the GM/Isuzu diesel till 2005 while they build and perfect one of their own!
They have their own diesel now. It's a pretty nice one too.
