The transmissions for the most part are identical and have a "manual" shift option that won't work with your shifter.

The H22 head will bolt onto your motor. You will not feel much of an increase in power except when you're gunning the motor since the automatic tends to shift before you hit the VTEC switchover.

I would say get a turbo and run low boost levels to improve around-town response.
