Brake light switches are relatively simple to replace. The turn signal switch usually needs removal of the steering wheel and a special tool to remove the plug from the wiring harness. Either buy a repair guide for your car (about $20 at the auto parts store) or check with a local repair service to see what they'll cost to fix it . If it's a modern car, with an airbag, I wouldn't suggest DIY removal of the steering wheel. Best of luck.
