I ended up talking to the owner and laid the groundwork for getting my pens in their store. They run a craft festival every year, and want me to possibly have a display/sales table in their store during it in november to see how the demand/market is in that area. I'm pretty hopeful, and the store owner seemed pretty pumped and said she hasn't really seen handmade pens in the area. Looks like I need to make some time to make some more pens.
I was finally able to get a confirmation on this. They're going to have a table in their store with my products, and manage the sales, and they get 15%. If they do well enough, we'll have a consignment deal to have pens in their store all the time. It's pretty exciting because I wasn't even really looking to do anything like this, but know better than to pass up an opportunity.
