Default Accord 98 shift hard and twice in reverse

I have a code P1705 being defined as a short in transmission range switch circuit (more than 1 range position is on at the same time).
My problems started when I was not able to start the engine and after checking all relays and contacts inside the car and checking that I could start the engine at the starter, I installed a separate starter relay, which allows for my engine to run. When shifting in reverse, the transmission shift hard once followed by a second shifting. I now have the P4 flashing and engine check light on. When shifting in P4, the shifting is hard as well.
I tried to find where the transmission range switch is and though that the gear position switch was it, to find out it was not changing the problem.
I did check the 6 control solenoids (lock up control/shift control, shift control and clutch pressure control) which were all working properly. I did found another solenoid on top of the casing, measuring inconsistent resistance and not clicking with power. What is the origin of my problem and what to replace to fix it?
