Actually I think the S and the base model have the exact same tip........you aren't gonna get anymore sound out of it, but you aren't gonna have the buzzy annoying sound that aftermarket exhausts give you, which is definately a plus. I have a TL-S exhaust on my accord and couldn't be happier, especially since it was free! I'm just anti-exhaust......they just sound sooooooooo stupid on hondas. Unless you have FI or some MAJOR mods, it's basically for looks, and it usually looks pretty stupid with 4 or 5 inch tips coming out of a pipe that is only 2 1/4! lol 
In closing, I would definately consider it over an aftermarket exhaust.
I feel the same way as u man. Honestly my muffler is pretty fu**ed up and little rusted. I was thinking this muffler is from acura so that basically means honda. And I know its somewhat silent but most likely more loud than my stock muffler. I dont care if it will add power and i know it wont.
