Default '03 accord key conversion? + alternator Q...

has anyone tried swapping in their current accord key to the 2003 key? i thought it would be cool to have a key just like the lexuses since the remote and key is the same thing. (it'd still be cooler to have the benz style infrared or the VW filp out ones though)

i know lexus keys are inner-cut and our 98-02 accord keys are cut from the outer. i have no idea about the 03's. if the 03's are outers and also has a configurable chip while the dealer has the database and equipment to do it, then i figure you can just take it down to them and pay for a new 03 key. any complaints about it? my bro said that they feel like cheap plastic, but i just want to know everybody else's opinions. i was wondering if it can be configured with an aftermarket alarm too cuz i dont want to be stuck with just a cool looking key and still have to carry around the remote and look like an idiot with two remotes.

i'm replacing my alternator next week (ordered a high-output alternator off ebay). my battery died a couple days ago while running and i got that replaced with a diehard truck battery since my system is going to kill that within the 3 year warranty too... is the high-output one any good? what are the side effects? and does anybody know how to install one DIY, or should i just take it in? i know you have to unbolt the current one, bolt new one in, strap on the belt, etc. but i was wondering about the full directions and if i needed anything specific or is there anything hard to do about changing the alternator.
