nah it's not that hard to cut the slot. just take ur time. as for cutting the slots... the easiest way to do would be using a large drill bit and drill holes around the slot. then after that... you can just use a clipper and clip ur way through it. or if you want... u can use a saw and hack through it. either way will work... drill will be a safer way imo.
