see what i think is that that bypass valve is just a waste of money and they invented that thing just to get more money off us, if it was really necessary to have one AEM would sell them as a set and wold not charge extra $50 for it, and i'm not plannig to use my teg as a submarine lol 
With the comptech ice box if you really want to have a complete setup it comes in two parts the intake and the box so you pay twice as much i'm happy with my AEM
