We've got some cold weather up here in northeast PA. Past couple mornings, of course the car doesn't start right up like it does in warm weather. After seeing how the car starts the past couple mornings, I've wondered if theres a "better" way to start the car on such cold mornings. Example, would it be better to hold the key in the starting posisition untill it starts (2-4seconds) or hold it for a second... wait 3 seconds and then try again?

I recently got a Die Hard Gold put in and it's working fine. I'm just wondering if one method will put more strain and wear on the engine than the other. Suggestions?

I've also been trying to let the engine idle for at least 7-10mins while I get ready before taking off to work.
