I have a killer weekend planned, but I'm having trouble getting into the zone because of life stress.
Weekend: my buddy's bachelor party. I'm picking up a friend from the airport tonight and heading up to the mountains. A group of 12 of us are camping at this killer spot in Grand County. Then tomorrow, we're going to Lake Granby (big, scenic lake) renting a pontoon boat and having a boat party for a few hours. Then hitting up the brewery for suds and grub, then back to the campsite for more shenanigans. Coming back Sunday mid-day.
Stress: my gf has a job offer (she's already got a good job, but this new one is more money, but probably more problems) and her stress from makeing a decision is rubbing off on me. She's been very snippy with me this week. Stepdaughter's car overheated yesterday and I went to replace the thermostat and one of the bolts for the t-stat housing was seized. I put a breaker bar on it and ended up cracking the thermostat housing and the part of the block that it bolts to. So in doing what should've been a 30 minute/$30 job, I've created a major problem. We keep running into maintenance problems at the "investment property" and we're losing a good $400+ a month keeping up with the place. We're talking about doing a short sale or "strategic default" just to get rid of the place. I have very mixed feelings about this.
