So I would be looking for about 2000 for the bottom end(not including the port and polish) and about 3300 for the turbo kit and then install. talking about 6000 for all of it while I could get the jdmh22a(which would be a lot quicker) and slap on I/H/E and some other goodies and run pretty damn quick I would say. I guess I just answered my own question. But running FI on a H22a I will have to do some research on. let me know what you guys find out.
please know your facts before you post next time
since when was an H22 faster than a turboed F22/23? i am putting down over 230 to the wheels. thats more than the H22 makes to the flywheel. and about 65 more hp to the wheels. youre saying a car making 165hp is gonna be quicker than the same car that makes 200hp (on 7 lbs). plus my torque was 238 and the torque on an H22 is around 150. i'll run any nearly stock H22 Accord on this board and i bet i would beat any one of them. if you have the money to build on to the H22 then do that. but a lot of people dont have or want to spend the money to swap an H22 then turbo it
the F22/23 can handle a lot more boost than the H22. i'm running 10 lbs on my F23 without any problems. my friend blew his H22 running 8 lbs in less than a month. blew a ring, piston scored the cylinder wall, bent valves
i've seen many H22's before they get swapped into cars and 90% of them look like ****. most have the header cut off so you need a new header, none of them had the air box so you need an intake, most of them had the clutch go out in less than a month. you take your chances with buying a used motor that could have been beat to hell. some people get very good motors with everything included. some people get crap motors that you need to put another $1500 into it to get it running
