On Thursday,
Honda told its U.S. dealers that it's okay to resume ordering the
Fit and
Insight. According to
Automotive News (sub. req.) the Japanese automaker is racing to pump out the pair of fuel-sipping vehicles, supplies of which were disrupted by the earthquake in Japan.
Declaring that Honda has "turned the corner," the automaker's executive vice-president of sales, John Mendel, wants dealers to aggressively advertise and push sales of the subcompact Fit and hybrid Insight. In a memo distributed to Honda dealers and obtained by

In the wake of the March 11 quake in Japan, Honda halted Fit and Insight orders.
