What are the ECU codes it's throwing? (if any)
If no codes,
-check all grounds (transmission, valve cover, thermostat housing, neg battery terminal, car body)
-coil OR ignitor (both in the dizzy, you can test them with a multimeter)
My car recently did the same thing (major bogging over 2K RPM and tach was falling off then spiking). I replaced the dizzy with one from CarQuest (around $255 including tax).
