Your talking about Tokico H.P.'s right? When I researched threw a whole bunch of import forum's, that's the number one thing that stood out to me, blowing out and leaking. Plus I noticed quite a few people complaining that they had bounce with them. All sign's of running a sturt that's not valved or designed for lowering springs. At best the H.P.'s are 15% stiffer than oem, and even that I doubt. Even the mildest springs are useally stiffer than that, hense the reason for the problems. Kyb GR-2's aren't going to be a better solution since they are oem valved replacements. Adding to the problems is you'll get people that run either sturt with lowering springs that either don't realize how poorly they perform of they've gotten used to them and will tell everyone how great they are, when in reality they have issues. Running the right strut, one that is designed to deal with the stiffness of a given lowering spring is the only way to go.
