thanks man, i actually finished this car a couple months ago. i just havent posted pics yet. i will eventually.

there were some minor hiccups here and there, but the motor fired up on the first crank, no check engine lights or anything, so it was all worth it in the end.

edit: more pics

got some help from my trusted alarm installer/wiring/stereo guy. he got the alarm out in no time.

alarm out, just funny 99/02 harnesses coexisting

everything out, bare firewall, yay. old harness sitting in passenger footwelll

the SMJ wiring /butt connector nest out of the car

started to get the new harness in..

engine bay portion/plugs are in...

The fuel pump controller ground wiring that I-wire sets aside for you. The one wire that is required to be soldered with his harness.

Passenger footwell

It meets with this wire, passenger rear.

Just behind the passenger seat

as for subaru's khazzy, its a mixed bag for me to be honest.

they're awesome cars and fun to drive, but they're not without quirks. unless everything is upgraded to sti parts, certain parts will just break. even then, they throw rod bearings like rotaries blow apex seals. theres also the "cool" factor of driving a swapped 99-01 RS coupe, as they're relatively rare and highly sought after.
