The 2.5 liter I-4 wasn't originally destined to be a pickup engine, joel, or at least this is how I came to understand it.

I thought it was essentially a VQ with two cylinders lobbed off, using the same bore x stoke (not sure if the math works on that, but regardless).

In any event, not that great of an engine, and positively crappy compared to Honda's rev-happy fours.
