For ride quality, somewhat.
It's when you're too stiff for the shocks you have, then it becomes bad. I'm thinkin all those Skunk2 owners who suffer from bouncy rides are on their blown stock shocks.
You can order custom rates for your GC's if you want to. (and if you have the $$$)
