the best vtec crossover point is determined by doing 2 separate dyno pulls, one for the vtec NOT activated, and one with the vtec activated.
you do this with a vtec controller of your choice. set the vtec crossover really high to see the low cam graph. then set the vtec really low to get the high cam graph.
then lay the graphs on top of each other. where they meet should be your crossover point.
setting it lower doesnt always mean more power. in most cases leaving it stock or setting it just a little higher than stock is more beneficial. it all depends on your mods/cams etc.
