I guarantee that's probably the only time she's ever fired her gun except for POST training. A very small percentage of cops actually shoot their guns for anything other than required strings of fire. It's outright sad that she only hit him one time.

I mean think about it . . . someone fires a 44 mag past your face . . . whats your first reaction? shoot his finger? yea ok . . . you go for center mass like training taught you. I'm merely stating that the odds of this being due to her marksmanship level is highly unlikely.
She probably closed her eyes, pointed the gun in his general direction and jerked the trigger until it stopped going bang.
