Not sure what you mean. The minecraft.jar file is saved in your AppData folder when you run the game. The mincraft.exe runs and creates the rest of the files the first time you open it.

I copied the .jar file and put it on my desktop. I used winRAR to place the doku pack into the file, then I ran the .jar file with java and it opened the game. I also took the same .jar file (pre doku) and placed that on my desktop as well. I can run either one, one with updated textures or the other without it.
Isn't the appdata file if you use the browser version of the game?
