The trunk solenoid should just have a trigger line and ground. Most power trunk solenoids just have 2 wires: ground and trigger. The trigger should tap right in to the trunk trigger line of the alarm box. What happens is when you hit the power trunk button on the remote control, the alarm box will trigger the solenoid. Don't hook it up directly to the battery, unless you plan on running the switch button. But since you have a Honda (I think) you don't really need the switch button. Just use the pull lever from the inside, the remote button from the outside.
