a part's list of swappable internals might be in order... cause i have 2 spare f23's laying in my garage, both with pistons so if i can make some power on my f22 by swapping those out then **** lets get to it...
Only interchangables I'm currently aware of are H23 rods on F22 blocks as they are the same length and size. Not sure if F23 piston will work in F22. Deck height may be taller on an F23 then an F22. As F23 has 2mm longer stroke then F22. In addition, F23 has 86mm bore F22 has 85mm not sure you can punch an F22 out that far.

As for high milage, rebuilding your engine will make the milage issue a moot point if you are doing a bore and crank pollish and replacing bearings. The point I have been trying to make is I don't think a fully ported head and new aftermarket pistons on and F-series is really all that expensive compared to purchasing and installing an H22 engine and trans. Will the power be equivalent, maybe? This is all based on B16 vs. D16modified data. As for the higher rpm limit of SOHC cars--D16 modifieds do it all the time. Couldn't see why an F-series couldn't gain a lick or 2 of rpm.
